Enrichment Groups

Learn. Practice. Connect. Grow.

Learning happens through doing. Awareness Roots enrichment groups give tweens and teens the chance to build executive function, self-awareness, regulation, and everyday life skills through fun hands-on challenges, movement, play, creativity, and connection. Small groups create a supportive and accepting space to practice skills in real-time, work through challenges, and discover strategies that fit each participant’s individual brain and body.

Offered Seasonally: Fall & Winter

Milkshake’s design lab

A 6-week creative & executive function Series- Grades 6-8

A hands-on design experience where creativity becomes the setting for practicing executive function. Participants will move from ideas to finished creations while building skills in planning, organization, time management, flexible thinking, problem solving, and collaboration. Milkshake, our resident Holland lop bunny, joins the experience through supervised animal interaction and bunny-inspired design challenges, adding opportunities for creativity and connection.

Designed for tweens and teens who enjoy creating, building, animals, and social connection. This class is a good fit for kids who learn best by doing and benefit from a supportive space to take on challenges, make decisions, work with others, and figure things out along the way. Creativity, sensory experiences, and time with Milkshake are naturally woven throughout the group, offering different ways to engage, connect, and reset.
